The main forms of drug test are urine tests, saliva (or oral) tests and hair tests, each test gives us different information; hair tests show if drugs have been in the system over months, a urine test shows drug usage over days and saliva drugs tests show hourly usage.

There are many varieties of home drug testing kits purchasable; there are single cassette urine tests, which are used as a cocaine drug test, to test for cannabis and opiate testing etc. There are drug test cups which test for various variations of drugs all in one test, there are also saliva tests which also tests for various varieties of drug. There are also hair tests which can test for a variety of of drugs, inconveniently these are Quite expensive and they cant be undertaken at home.

What can you do if you think someone you know is in possesion of drugs?

For starters it is most fitting to have a discussion with them and talk to them about it, don’t get angry and explain that you are worried about their health. If they denies taking drugs but you still think that they are, ask them to conform to a drugs test to verify they aren’t on drugs. But, if they do take drugs they are less likely to do it willingly and unfortunately most tests require the individual’s cooperation. In this situation it is recommended to speak to an expert.
